TheHill - Century of the Woman

Sec. Elaine Chao, Lilly Ledbetter, Rep. Terri Sewell and more at The Hill's Century of the Woman Summit

The Hill caps off our celebration of the centennial of the 19th Amendment with a special tribute, Century of the Woman. The suffrage advocates who lobbied Congress, campaigned for support and won over legislators in states across the nation overcame fierce opposition — and even violence — to secure the ballot. But the fight for equality was just beginning, and the journey for true equal rights continues to this day.

On Wednesday, September 30, The Hill Virtually Live hosts a three-part program bringing together remarkable women leaders and decision-makers to discuss progress and the barriers that remain. RSVP today for event reminders.

Featuring:

Sec. Elaine Chao

Rep. Rosa DeLauro

Rep. Terri Sewell

Rep. Sharice Davids

Gina Raimondo, Governor of Rhode Island

Hon. Christine Todd Whitman, former Governor, New Jersey

Hon. Hilda Solis, former Secretary of Labor; LA County Supervisor

Lilly Ledbetter, Plaintiff, Ledbetter v. Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.

Tina Tchen, President & CEO, TIME'S UP Now

Sallie Krawcheck, CEO & Co-Founder, Ellevest

and more.
